1. Who we are
Vet Buddy is a pet-care service operated by Vet Buddy India in India. This policy applies to:
- the Vet Buddy website at https://vetbuddyindia.com
- the Vet Buddy Android app
- the Vet Buddy iOS app

2. Information you provide
Across the website and apps, we may process your name, email address, mobile number, date of birth, gender, physical address, profile image, pet profiles (such as pet name, type, breed, and related care details), pet health notes you choose to enter, appointment and booking requests, consultation preferences, saved products, and cart items. Please do not add information that is not needed for pet care.
3. Account and authentication (website and apps)
You may create or sign in to an account using Google Sign-In and, on iOS, Sign in with Apple when that option is available. These providers may share with us your name and email address. With Sign in with Apple, you may choose to hide your email and use a private relay address. After sign-in, the website or app may ask for a mobile number and profile details so we can provide bookings and account updates. We do not use authentication data for third-party advertising.
4. Location and device data
If you grant permission, the website or app may use approximate or precise location to help fill your address or find nearby care. You can deny or revoke location access in your device or browser settings. We also keep session tokens and basic device or app labels needed to protect account access and keep you signed in.
5. How information is used
We use information to provide account sync across website and apps, authenticate users, personalize pet-care screens, manage pet profiles, confirm appointments, maintain carts and saved items, support users, prevent abuse, and operate the service. We do not sell personal information. We do not use pet profile details for targeted advertising.
6. Storage and synchronization
Account data is transmitted over HTTPS to the Vet Buddy API and stored in its database so it can appear on the website, Android app, and iOS app when you are signed in. The Android and iOS apps may also keep a local cache for speed and limited offline use. Development builds may use a clearly identified local demo mode when the API is unavailable.
7. Sharing and service providers
Information may be handled by hosting, database, email, SMS, authentication (such as Google and Apple), support, payment, and security providers only as needed to operate Vet Buddy. Appointment details may be shared with a selected veterinary provider when you request care. Payment card details for purchases completed on the website are processed by the payment provider and are not stored by Vet Buddy as full card numbers. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect people, animals, or the service.
8. Retention and deletion
We retain account data while your account is active and as reasonably needed for support, security, legal compliance, and dispute resolution. You can delete your account from the Account screen in the website or apps, or by contacting us. When an account is deleted, associated pet profiles, tokens, carts, saved items, and bookings are removed as configured in our systems. Limited records may be retained where legally required. 9. Security
We use access tokens, hashed tokens and OTPs where applicable, input validation, ownership checks, HTTPS, and database constraints. No system is completely secure, so protect your device and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
10. Your choices and rights
You can edit profile and pet information, decline location access, sign out, or delete your account on the website or in the apps. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, restrict, object to, export, or delete personal data. Contact privacy@vetbuddyindia.com to make a request.
11. Children
Vet Buddy is not directed to children and does not provide public posting or user-to-user chat. See our Child Safety Standards.
12. Changes and contact
