1. Who we are
Vet Buddy is a pet-care organization service operated by Vet Buddy India in India. Privacy questions can be sent to privacy@vetbuddyindia.com.
2. Information you provide
We may process your name, email, mobile number, date of birth, gender, address, profile image, pet profiles, pet health notes, appointment requests, saved products, and cart items. Please do not add information that is not needed for pet care.
3. Location and device data
If you grant permission, the app or website may use approximate or precise location to help fill your address or find nearby care. You can deny or revoke location access in your device or browser settings. We also keep session tokens and basic device labels needed to protect account access.
4. How information is used
We use information to provide account sync, personalize pet-care screens, manage pet profiles, confirm appointments, maintain carts and saved items, support users, prevent abuse, and operate the service. We do not sell personal information or use pet profile details for targeted advertising.
5. Storage and synchronization
When the shared service is configured, account data is transmitted over HTTPS to the Vet Buddy API and stored in its database so it can appear on both the Android app and website. The Android app also keeps a local cache for speed and limited offline use. Development builds may use a clearly identified local demo mode when the API is unavailable.
6. Sharing and service providers
Information may be handled by hosting, database, email, SMS, authentication, support, and security providers only as needed to operate Vet Buddy. Appointment details may be shared with a selected veterinary provider when you request care. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect people, animals, or the service.
7. Retention and deletion
We retain account data while your account is active and as reasonably needed for support, security, legal compliance, and dispute resolution. You can delete your account from the Account screen in the app or website. Database relationships are configured to remove associated pet profiles, tokens, carts, saved items, and bookings. Limited records may be retained where legally required.
8. Security
We use access tokens, hashed tokens and OTPs, input validation, ownership checks, HTTPS expectations, and database constraints. No system is completely secure, so protect your device and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
9. Your choices and rights
You can edit profile and pet information, decline location access, sign out, or delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, restrict, object to, export, or delete personal data. Contact us to make a request.
10. Children
Vet Buddy is not directed to children and does not provide public posting or user-to-user chat. See our Child Safety Standards.
11. Changes and contact
